1260 beef burgers every minute by Builth Burgers after investment

A new burger factory with the capacity to produce up to 1,260 beef burgers every minute has been opened in Wales bythe First Minister. Currently, Builth Burgers based in Llanelwedd, Builth Wells produces more than 37.5 million burgers each year. Cargill Works with Richard Branson over new “Meat Laboratory”

Cargill is working with billionaires Richard Branson and Bill Gates with an investment into laboratory meats producer Memphis Meats. The US based company has raised just over £17m for investment into hopefully cutting production costs of conventual meat products. Seven UK pork processors get the nod to access the Chinese pork market

A new export deal will see seven UK and Northern Ireland companies supply pork to China. This is after they were allowed to access the Chinese pork market For the first time, trotters will be exported from the United Kingdom. Following this new deal, with China, the domestic food industry will get a £200 million injection. The new deals cover approval to export from five locations in Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Suffolk, Co Antrim plus Co Tyrone. 300-plus jobs to be created – thanks to Quorn’s £150M investment

300-plus jobs will be created over the next five years following Quorn Foods’ £150M in its Billingham factory. This was revealed by the company on July 24. According to the meat alternative manufacturer, the jobs which will cover production, construction as well as factory support will be created in Teesside and North Yorkshire. Tulip planning to axe 118 jobs in King’s Lynn

Tulip is planning to cut 118 jobs at its food production plant in King’s Lynn. This reportedly formed part of the meat processor’s strategy.  The company revealed on July 20 that this was part of its plan to mitigate dwindling production volumes.
